With an activity tracker or activity trainer you can gain more insight into your daily activities and night’s sleep. The smart device records your movement behavior, both during the day and at night. It is available in many forms. Nowadays, bracelet models are very popular, but you can also find them in special sports watches and small devices that you can clip to your clothing. Your movements are accurately tracked using sensors. The device counts your steps and how many calories you burn. In addition, some models can also measure your activity while cycling and swimming. Most activity trackers can be linked to a mobile phone, tablet and/or a heart rate monitor. This way you can keep track of whether you have exercised enough, whether you are making progress and have achieved your set goals. This way you will be motivated to live a healthier life and exercise more.

There is a choice of standard models, high-tech models, waterproof models, ones that sync wirelessly with apps on your phone, devices that you can connect to a heart rate monitor,… If you are planning to purchase an activity tracker, it is therefore highly recommended to obtain enough information about the different brands and models. In addition, make yourself a list of the minimum options you need. Then compare the models with each other. There are activity trainers available for purchase starting from a few tens of euros, but also models costing hundreds of euros. The more the device has to be able to do, the more expensive it becomes.
