Sugar scrub

Sugar scrubs can be made from different types of sugar, from regular table sugar to unrefined sugar. These scrubs can also be used on more sensitive skin, because the grains of table sugar are rounder than grains of salt. This means that the sugar scrubs can also be used on the face. Unrefined sugar has a slightly more abrasive grain than table sugar, but is still gentler to use than a salt scrub. You can use this scrub all over your body, but use on the face is not recommended. Sugar scrubs can be used two to three times a week.

Salt scrub

Salt has the advantage of having antibacterial and antiviral properties. Salt scrub is generally made by mixing salt with oil to form a paste. The use of salt scrub is not recommended for people with (very) sensitive skin, and use on the face, nipples and other more sensitive parts is also not recommended. However, the salt scrub is highly recommended for harder skin, such as feet, knees and elbows. Because certain types of salt also contain minerals, these scrubs can provide better results than sugar scrubs. It is not recommended to use salt scrubs more than once a week. Special salts are: (dead) sea salt, epsom salt and Himalayan salt.

Scrub bar

A scrub bar is basically nothing more than a scrub in solid form. Sugar, salt or small seeds are often added to soap or a nourishing butter. The scrub bars with a nourishing butter, such as cocoa butter, are very good for the skin. Your skin feels soft and immediately nourished.
